Hairy Personality

Most girls I know...including meself would usually have a hair cut that matches our lifestyle. Just imagine a supermodel with this hair..
(scary...)

For the past 20 years, I've tried a couple of hair styles already. Some...like when I was in Kindergarten, was really unflattering. My mom was most likely on one her of her worst moods when she decided to have my hair all curled up...and made me look like a scary rag doll every time I wake up in the morning.

Some were haircuts that I have never wanted to consider...but because my hair stylist was insistent, I gave in...and viola! A haircut meant for me.

The dilemma of choosing a good haircut is usually affected by factors like: lifestyle, bone structure and trends. I believe most women with busy lifestyles and would not want to be troubled with blow drying their hair or curling their hair everyday would most likely choose a bob that is wash and wear. In the meantime, a woman who gets p
aid by being a shampoo model would most likely want to maintain a long pampered hair...to maintain the image of herself and of course of the product that she's selling.

Here's a couple of tips to guide in you in choosing your perfect haircut.

If you have a strong jaw line - er...meaning when you look at the mirror, you can compare your face to that of a square (hehe - I know, harsh)...then the best option for you is to keep your hair long. Waves would be a good touch as well. Even layers will ensure that the jaws would be hidden a wee bit more. Here's a sample:

Flattering right? And if you must know, big stars are like Demi Moore and Keira Knightly have strong jaw lines as well! Just remember, keep it long...don't go with short short cuts. It would not complement the face...promise.

If you have a heart shaped face, or probably if you're a little bit chubby. Or maybe you feel like your cheeks are a little bit fat for your taste...long hair would still be the thing for you. Add bangs that's swept to the side. Then have a touch of layers as well. Another tip is use make up. From what I've heard, a bronzer make up makes you look slimmer. Check out this picture as a sample:

If you have an oval face or a long face, you might want to consider a layered hairdo with some highlights. Plus, if your hair is thick and wavy, it would really flatter your cheekbones...just like this gal:

Ok...so much with hairstyles. Bottom line, us girls need to remember that haircut cannot do it alone. It has to come with the right attitude. No matter how busy we are, we have to give ourselves time to do a little tidying up. Brush your hair 40 times to have a natural shine. Put a little make up...a little blush would do and a light lip color so that you won't look pale. And SMILE!

Help Promote Philippine Wonders!!!

CALL TO ARMS!!! Hehehe..I know it is a little dramatic...but really... The New seven Foundation has put up a new campaign where in the current race for the New 7 Wonders of Nature is now on.

Last year, the New 7 Wonders of the World has been proclaimed. This year, it is our turn to make history and put our very own scenic spots on the MAP!

Currently, Tubbataha Reef (Sulu, Philippines) is in rank number 9! 2 more spots and we have one of our own diving spost as a recognized "world treasure".

Tubbataha Reef is an atoll coral reef in the Sulu Sea.It is a marine sanctuary protected as Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park. The reef is composed of two atolls, North and South Reefs. Each reef has a single small islet that protrudes from the water. The atolls are separated by a deep channel 8 kilometers wide. Over one thousand species, including many that are endangered, can be found at on the reef. These include manta rays, lionfish, tortoises, clownfish and sharks.

Also, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River is on the 150th spot. The National Park is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on the northern coast of the island. It is bordered by St Paul Bay to the north and the Babuyan River to the east. The City Government of Puerto Princesa has managed the National Park since 1992. It is also known as St. Paul's Subterranean River National Park. The entrance to the Subterranean River is located a short hike from little town of Sabang.
It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest.

Love Personality (So who are you?)

I stumbled upon a site again...asking me questions so that I'd know what kind of lover am I (ayun eh!).

According to Carl Jung (?), there are 16 types of personalities that you can use to classify a person.
And as a lover and person, according to the questions I answered...

Vida, your love personality type is ESTP

About 6% of the U.S. population possesses the combination of traits that make up this personality type.

Being an ESTP means that dull and predictable probably aren't words that others have ever used to describe you. More than most, you seem to thrive on unpredictability. When others are relaxing, you're usually off to your next adventure. This is simply a part of your highly energetic nature. Your type also displays a playfulness that helps you enjoy others' company -- the more, the merrier. But being social doesn't mean that you're overly dependent on the people around you. On the contrary, you're the kind of individual who balances being outgoing and independent quite nicely. Also, because you rarely get flustered, you're apt to find that people seek you out as a source of reassurance and reliability. In relationships, people are apt to be attracted to your confident, daring nature. More than most, you appear to live for the here and now and be game for most activities. This passion for living can serve as a real inspiration to others.

Another test that I took in where in your answers would lead you to list of recommended careers which a certain type seems to be predominant. This list is not a list of the "only jobs that you can do", but a guide to which career utilizes the natural talents of each type.

Here's the result:

ISTP - Scientists, engineers, professors, teachers, medical doctors, dentists, corporate strategists, organization founders, business administrators, managers, military, lawyers, judges, computer programmers, system analysts, computer specialists, psychologists, photographers, research department managers, researchers, university instructors, chess players. They have a particular skill at grasping difficult, complex concepts and building strategies.

To help you understand the meaning of these letters, here's their definition:

E= Extraversion; I= Introversion; S= Sensing;
N= iNtuition; T= Thinking; F= Feeling;
J= Judging; P= Perceiving

Other brief descriptions would inlcude:

INTJ
Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders.

ESTP
Friendly, adaptable, action-oriented. "Doers" who are focused on immediate results. Living in the here-and-now, they're risk-takers who live fast-paced lifestyles. Impatient with long explanations. Extremely loyal to their peers, but not usually respectful of laws and rules if they get in the way of getting things done. Great people skills.

This description, just like any zodiac description you read, may be true to a certain degree. You might even relate your personality to two or three types. THE POINT though is that people are highly unpredictable creatures that one cannot simply classify them based on their traits. People change…for the better or for the worse. It all depends on our choices.

We call him... Barba

You may not really know him.
You may not have seen him yet.

But he's one real jewel that you'd be glad to have.
He's not afraid to be himself.

He's opinionated.
Tactless at times - but always means well.

He can be a clown.
He can be a shoulder to cry on.

He's a true friend to those who accept him as he is.
He is a viper to those who criticize him when he is not around.

He is at times innocent.
But he is never ignorant.

He does not want people knowing that he wants to be the best.
But he sure does work hard to be one of the best.

I just wish that he never changes.
He is my dear friend

And we call him...Barba.

Personality Test: what kind of PIG are you?

I was busy surfing...tsk. And I accidentaly clicked into a site...asking me to check what kind of pig I am...and I thought: err...biik?
Anyway, I was already intrigued. And so, I drew a PIG (as seen below...)

At the bottom od this drawing screen, it would say, CLICK HERE to ANALYZE your personality.

I thought...well...let's see how accurate this is...

ANALYSIS:

If the pig is at the top of the paper, you're an optimist. If the pig is in the center of the paper, you're a realist. If the pig is at the bottom of the paper, you're a pessimist.
If the pig faces left, you're fond of tradition and family. In addition, you're friendly and loving. And you never forget birthdays and anniversaries.
If the pig faces right, you're innovative and active, but you don't have a strong sense of family or tradition and you never remember dates.
If the pig faces the front (toward you), you're direct, and you enjoy playing devil's advocate. You neither fear nor avoid discussions or confrontations.

If the pig has many details, you're analytical, cautious, and distrustful.
If the pig has few details, you're emotional and possibly naive. You miss a lot going on around you, because you don't pay attention to details, and you have a tendency to take risks.

If the pig has less than 4 legs showing, you're insecure.
If the pig has 4 legs showing, you're secure and stubborn. You like to stick to your ideas.

The size of the pig's ears indicate how willing you are to listen. The bigger the ears, the better you are at listening.

The length of the pig's tail indicates the quality of your sex life.

The MOCK CALL...

It's a normal day. Well...I guess not so normal because I will not have any agents until Thursday.

I'm mentally plotting how I would spend my time "productively" in the office. I know that phone certs will be resuming later. Me and my staff will be helping out so that all agents from wave 87 will be certified today. While I was doing this mental thingy...I suddenly remembered this one agent from yesterday...and I could not help but write about it!

Scenario: Me sitting at my station, checking my Google mail since I have already finished reading all my corporate email. Ram comes up and says the agent for MOCK calls are ready. I went on ahead and called the agent for his 4th graded mock call...

Fast forward....

Me: (thinking that the agent has thick accent...and me writing it down on his Coaching Log)

Coaching Log: Agent has pronunciation issues: gateway - getwey; ma'am - mum; server - sirver; cursor - koorsor; browser - brooser

Wonderful agent: Mum? Mum? Are you still der?

Me: (sighing) Uh, yes...sorry, I'm distracted. Ok, so what do I do next again?

Wonderful agent: Ay, it's like this mum...you have to click on start and go to ran..

Me: (rolling my eyes heaven wards) What's that? You mean..Run..right?

Wonderful agent: Ay..yes mum, you're right, click on Ran.

Me: Uh...ok (sige na nga). I did that, what's next?

Wonderful agent: Ah, ok..uhm, you gib me a few moments, mum... (dead air...dead air)... Umm..can I put a hold on you instead?

Me: (hayzz) Ok, go ahead...

After 2min and 35 sec...

Wonderful agent: Hello mum?

Me: Yeah? (susme...it's MA'AM! not MUM!!!! )

Wonderful Agent: ok...on the blunk field, please type in C -M -D.

Me: Ok, I did that... (thinking: "Maybe I need to end the call already...")

Wonderfule agent: Oalright, mum, now you have de block screen right?

Me: Yes, I have that. (OALRIGHT??? I wonder what his real nationatlity is...)

Wonderful agent: Ok, good job..gib me a moment ageyn ok? (silence...dead air...breathing hard).

Me: (wanting to have something to talk about) Uhm, I wanna ask, where are you located at right now?

Wonderful agent: Huh? Well I'm in the black screen mum, just like you!
Me: (haynaaaa....apu....)

This made me realize one thing though....I've been a coach for 2 years now...and sometimes, you would really come across people who you would never think that could make it as a call center agent...or someone who'd be able to talk to customers about issues, especially anything about technical stuff...

Yet, when I look across the floor, the ones who really strive the hardest and become the best, are those who were tagged as: "will not last for long" before...

Hundred Islands Escapade...

April 2, 2008...hayz..one last shift and I'd be off to our planned summer escapade. It was supposed to be a reunion. Me and my old TIER 1 team way back year 2006. It was mainly a tribute to the best coach that we've ever had, Bhorj Bernardo.

As the planned day neared, I started to receive messages that some can't come due to unforeseen events that just came up.

Hayzzz..typical. Anyway, plan will pursue. I've been cooped up in Baguio and in Sitel for far too long. I needed this rest.

So there you go, night time came and we packed. Glen was already on his 6 day leave (I'm jealous!).

April 3, 6:38AM, were off to the Pines Van station. We heard that there was no trip that would travel directly from Baguio to Alaminos, so we had to cut trip. Baguio to Dagupan and then Dagupan to Alaminos. Roel, Arlene an their kid were already at San Carlos. Paolo will be following suit after his shift. Bhorj...Bhorj had not confirmed yet regarding his availability.

April 3, 11:13AM, Glen and I arrived at Alaminos. I must admit, the place looked a little sad to me. I was expecting a number of people, and I only saw a couple of tourist, most are already locals. We were waiting for Roel and his family at the pantalan. The afternoon was really really hot. And I was getting a little testy myself (hehehe, sorry baby).

After a few minutes, I was starting to feel the sea breeze. And I guess, that's when it really hit me... We are finally here!!!!

Roel will be arriving in less than 2 hours..so we decided to find ourselves shelter first. Glen and I had long decided to stay at Vista delas Islas. It had a feel of a vintage (sort of Vigan atmosphere) air but they also had an amazingly romantic pool that is actually perfect for weddings (just think about the sweat while wearing a gown!).

After settling in, we decided to try the ever famous Maxine's by the Sea. The prices were high, I won't lie about that. But the food are really good! And the scenery..hehehe...well, let's just say, you won't mind the prices no more (winks!).

After the eating, Roel and Arlene and Ruth were finally able to catch up. We went with them while they were booking their own cottage...then after a few minutes of rest, we went on ahead and explored the pool some more. Roel's daughter, Ruth was really having fun, learning how to float and all that. Arlene had a lot of cursing while Roel splashes around..and Glen did the capturing of those moments.

We went to explore the pantalan in the late afternoon. We pressured Paolo to travel and be with us by 7pm (evil friends). We knew he'd have a little chance of joining the island hopping if he arrives late tomorrow. And so, there we were, posing by the port, treasuring the relaxing music of the sea and the refreshing scent of fresh air.

April 4, 7:00AM, we started off from the shore. We paid 1,900 pesos for the boat, the guide and the snorkel materials. Again, once your there...you would not really mind the prices any more. The experience will be well worth it.
To make a brief description, we were able to visit Quezon Island, the farthest island of them all. It boasts majestic sights as well as amazing snorkeling experience!
You've got to try to visit the Coral Gardens. It has the biggest and most colorful collection of corals that I have ever since (ofcourse, this is my 1st snorkeling experience)...then you also get to see giant clams (yes, big big clams...you'll probably finish eating one clam in 3 days) that are lying just beyond the coral reefs! (aahhh...the memory...)

I also get to see crabs up close...live crabs that is...walking..and not just on the table, waiting to be eaten. I got to find NEMO!!!! Ahahaha. That was the best thing that I've ever seen under water! There was three of them...and they were really small...just as big as one finger. And they really look funny...thus the Clown fish name probably.

The whole island hopping was really a must try. All in all, if you guys plan to go there, you must prepare atleast 5,000 peso each. A bit pricey, but it will be really worth it. AND don't forget to bring your boo along. Hehehe, believe me, the sea breeze and the water wouldn't that be exciting if you don't have someone to hold your hand and whispers you something like: "You happy, Baby? Coz, I sure am happy just by being with you." (huwaaaaaaah....giggle, giggle)
